Binance Security Breach — Action Required for your Shrimpy Account
At 17:15:24 (UTC) on May 7, 2019, Binance experienced a security breach. Our team would like to assure everyone the breach was in no way related to Shrimpy. You can read the official Binance announcements regarding the breach here and here.
Due to the security breach on Binance, Binance has deleted all existing API keys. In order to continue rebalancing in Shrimpy, please recreate your API keys now and update your Shrimpy exchange account. We have written a short article on how to update your Binance API keys here.

How to Whitelist IPs for API Keys
IP Whitelisting is a feature which exchanges use to restrict access to your cryptocurrency exchange account. Setting up IP Whitelists means the exchange will only accept requests when they are sent from the specific IPs that are input into the exchange. This prevents unauthorized access to your exchange account from any other IP.

Integrating Cold Storage for Rebalancing
When a portfolio is rebalanced, only the delta between the current and target allocation is traded. Since this is generally a small amount, only a limited percentage of the portfolio needs to be maintained on an exchange to completely rebalance. The rest of the assets can remain in cold storage.
